MORE STREETLIGHTS in Kirkham, Wesham, Newton, Clifton, Treales, Roseacre, Wharles and Salwick are set to be left faulty for longer after the Labour County Council, supported by a local Independent cut the number of inspections.  Lancashire has around 1,000 people killed or seriously in road accidents every year.  By leaving lights out, sometimes on dangerous roads, we’re putting lives at risk.  Calls for the cuts to be dropped by Lancashire’s Conservative Councillors were blocked by Labour.  The local Independent Councillor voted with Gordon Brown’s Labour.

However, if your street light is faulty, give me a ring or drop me an e-mail and I’ll make sure it gets fixed.
