Council Leader John Coombes, is embarking on a task to raise money to have a public memorial in the Fylde to those who fought in the the Battle of Britain.  The plan is to build two Spitfires with the Lytham St. Annes markings.  You can view the appeal website by clicking here.  And by clicking here you can register to donate to the fund every time you shop on line at 600+ on line retailers.

Could we honour those who fought with a memorial like this?

I wish John all the luck in the world to raise the required money and he has my full support.  I’m aiming to hold a coffee morning in the near future to try and raise some money myself for this worthwhile memorial.
