On Friday morning last week I met with a lady from the Prince’s Trust.  She’s a co-ordinator of a project that develops young people over a 12 week course.  The group consists of about 12 16 to 18 year olds and the set out to do a community project for 2 of the 12 weeks, click here.  I’ve been approached to look at suggesting some projects locally for the next intake to do.  My first suggestions were; clear the Morland Avenue Allotments to bring them back into use and second was the design and build the dog play park in the dog walking area on Derby Road.

All this used to be useable allotments, could local young people bring it back for the community?

The Prince’s Trust has a deserved high reputation of turning around lives and is one the the Prince of Wales must take great pride in.  I’ll keep you all informed of the progress.
