Rural Fylde Conservatives are dismayed that Labour have pushed ahead with their Post Office closure plans.  A vote in the House of Commons last night narrowly failed to support the Conservatives call for suspension of the closure of 2,500 offices across the country and 12 on the Fylde Coast.  Click here to see if you can see if any Fylde Coast Labour MP’s voted to keep Fylde Coast Post Offices open?

Commenting, Councillor Simon Renwick said,

“It is a total disgrace, New Labour have turned their back on Fylde, they close our post offices, they starve the council of cash and they let out prisoners early.  It is very clear that only the Conservatives can stop Labour, and that’s at Town and County Halls and at Westminster.  Gordon Brown has failed!”
