Rural Fylde Conservatives have today written to Councillor Tim Ashton asking him to consider the councils policy on Wheelie Bin Chips. The chips are designed to identify the bin in case of a future charge by weight policy.  Rural Fylde Conservatives feel that his policy is counter productive and potentially unfair.  Rural Fylde Conservatives would like the policy for Fylde to be to scrap they chips and never use them

Commenting, Councillor Simon Renwick says,

“These chips are ID cards on wheels and will lead to increased fly tipping.  Local residents distrust chips in bins and we’re calling for their use in charging to be rules out.”
