Conservative proposals to increase the provision on gully cleaning by £900,000 have been thrown out by Labour with the help of the colour changing Independent County Councillor.  This work would have been vital to help address the flooding rural Fylde suffers from every time it rains hard.

Commenting, Councillor Simon Renwick says,

“This just beggars belief, only a few weeks ago rural Fylde’s roads were all but impassable, and this County Councillor goes out of her way to stop the work needed to address this issue.  Next time your late for work as a blocked gulley’s not dealing with the rain water well enough, just remember this, only the Conservatives can stop Labour’s turned back on rural Fylde.  It appears we have a right snake in the grass when it come to sticking up for rural Fylde”
