Concerns have been raised recently to Rural Fylde Conservatives over the safety of the traffic lights at the Junction of Freckleton Street and the A583 (the old Texaco Garage site).  There is no delay, filter and sequence that allows the smooth floor of traffic and often traps people turning right in the path of on coming traffic.

These concerns have been passed on to the County Highways Engineers, who agree with Rural Fylde Conservatives that something needs doing and that consideration will be given to including the lights in a new scheme.

Commenting, Rural Fylde Conservative, Councillor Simon Renwick said,

“I am delighted that the County agrees with Rural Fylde Conservatives that work needs doing to make the traffic lights safer.  To be honest I am surprised they have wait until now.  We are very pro active as a party and welcome any comments or concerns from residents.  We take all issues seriously and work to resolve them.”
