Over the last few days and weeks we’ve had some very cold mornings with a heavy frost.  Most major roads are gritted and are made safe.  However, in Rural Fylde, where many of our small villages and hamlets are connected by B roads, the journey to work and school can be filled with hazard.

Rural Fylde Conservatives have today written to Labour Lancashire County Council to ask what measures are in place for gritting rural Fylde’s B Roads.

 Commenting, Councillor Simon Renwick says,

‘Is this another example of New Urban Labour not understanding the needs of a rural community, or is it penny pinching by an over taxing over spending council or is it just pure neglect, I think it’s all three.  Lancashire County Council needs to show more responsibility towards Fylde’s Rural Community.’
